Median Home Value (ACS)

The midpoint home value from the U.S. Census American Community Survey, where half of homes are worth more and half less.

The Median Home Value from the Census Bureau's American Community Survey (ACS) represents the midpoint of all owner-occupied home values in a geography — half of homes are worth more, half less.

WhereAtHome uses this as a secondary home-value metric alongside ZHVI. The ACS figure is authoritative and widely cited, but it lags by 1–2 years (the ACS is released approximately one year after data collection).
